Don’t look for a man whose touch gives you crawling goose pimples and fluttering butterflies. Look for a man whose warm embrace feels like home. Don’t look for a man whose dimpled smile takes your breath away. Look for a man whose laughter catches sunshine. Don’t look for a man who is tall, dark and handsome. Look for a man with a proud, loyal and vulnerable heart. Don’t look for a man whose charming words make your heart skip a beat. Look for a man whose actions protect your heart. Don’t look for a man who paints your daydreams bright colours. Look for a man who dreams for the both of you, and works towards them together.

Don’t look for a man who puts in 5 percent or even 50 percent of the effort. Look for a man who doesn’t bargain. Don’t look for a man whom you have to convince to spend time with you. Look for a man who is greedy with your moments. Don’t look for a man who plays games with your heart. Look for a man who plays games to make you laugh. Don’t look for a man who makes life hard for you. Look for a man who knows that life has been hard enough already. Don’t look for a man you want in your fantasy romance. Look for a man who is present in the reality of the love you need.

Don’t look for a man with a large bank account and good social status. Look for a man who has your back no matter what. Don’t look for a man by what he can do for you. Look for a man by what you can do for each other. Don’t look for a man who is a good businessman. Look for a man who will be a good husband and father. Don’t look for a man who is a leader and commands authority. Look for a man who stands up for you when you the world is unfair. Don’t look for a man all the girls want. Look for a man who wants you and only you.

Don’t look for a man with a beard and muscles. Look for a man who is secure in his masculinity. Don’t look for a man who has never fallen in love, so that you can be the special girl to change him. Look for a man who has been heartbroken, and understands the tremendous power of love. Don’t look for a man who falls in love too fast. Look for a man who is patient with intimacy.

Don’t look for a man who does not respect women, and takes advantage of your emotions. Look for a man who complements your femininity and nurtures it. Don’t look for a man who loves only your beauty and innocence. Look for a man who loves your strength and courage. Don’t look for a man who puts you on a pedestal, and loves only the pretty parts. Look for a man who loves your authenticity, your rawness and realness. Don’t look for a man who loves you in spite of your flaws. Look for a man who loves you because of your little quirks and imperfections.

Don’t look for a man who is popular with the ladies. Look for a man who will be your cheerleader. Don’t look for a man who treats you like an option. Look for a man who is scared he’ll lose you to another option. Don’t look for a man you have to beg for a relationship. Look for a man who wants to marry you. Don’t look for a man who is afraid of losing his freedom. Look for a man who can’t wait to go on adventures with you. Don’t look for a man who you have to chase. Look for a man who doesn’t make you choose between love and commitment.

Don’t look for a man who is always wondering if the grass is greener on the other side. Look for a man who wants to watch you grow together, and build an empire of experiences and memories. Don’t look for a man who will keep your bed warm and make your heart less lonely. Look for a man who touches your soul, and inspires you to be a kinder and stronger person. Don’t look for a man whom you have to settle for, because you thought real love happens only in the movies. Look for the man whom you waited for and finally found, because you didn’t settle.

Don’t look for the perfect man who meets a long checklist of all the ideal qualities. Look for a man who has the number one quality of being perfect for you.

  1. I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or two images. Maybe you could space it out better?

  2. I do love the way you have framed this issue and it does indeed present me a lot of fodder for consideration. On the other hand, through just what I have witnessed, I just simply trust when other remarks pack on that folks keep on issue and not get started upon a soap box of some other news of the day. Anyway, thank you for this fantastic piece and although I do not concur with this in totality, I value your viewpoint.
