Few people have as public and long-running a feud with Donald Trump as Rosie O’Donnell.
The comedian has publicly sparred with the now-president for more than ten years. While the fight was started by Rosie, Trump has picked at the scab for a decade because that’s what adults do.
At the start of his campaign back in 2015, Megyn Kelly asked Trump about his history of misogynistic remarks. Trump retorted he only says saxist things about O’Donnell, so it’s totally fine, and blatant saxism makes for a great joke!
So it’s fitting O’Donnell would continue to be part of the trolling resistance against Trump.
She has been tweeting and posting Instagrams against him relentlessly because nothing bothers Trump more than a woman who looks and talks and lives the way she wants, successfully.
Meanwhile, Trump is bothered by “Saturday Night Live” and its parodies of his administration.
Last week, Melissa McCarthy did a hilarious impression of his press secretary, Sean Spicer.
This pissed Trump off, according to Politico, mostly because Spicer was played by a woman, and masculinity is incredibly fragile.
In response to this, some geniuses on Twitter thought it’d be a great idea to have Rosie O’Donnell get in on the Trump “SNL” action.
People want her to portray Steve Bannon, Trump’s chief strategist with a history of anti-Semitic and white nationalist connections.
I mean, think about it. Trump is petty AF. This would kill him.
Rosie seems pretty into this idea. In fact, she changed her Twitter profile picture to a mash-up of her and Bannon.
This had a number of people quite amused.
Especially when paired with her banner photo, it’s clear Rosie is hardcore subtweeting Trump.
Rosie seems very into the idea of playing Bannon.
But ultimately, she knows all that matters is annoying Trump, in any form.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens this Saturday.
