Governor Obiano Commissions Stanel Gas Plant Facility In Awka, Anambra State

Governor Willie Obiano today commissioned Stanel Oil Service in Awka, capital of Nigeria’s Anambra State. The 1.5 million litre capacity mega gas plant facility owned by Stanley Uzochukwu is strategically located between Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Anambra State Women Development Centre along Enugu – Onitsha expressway, Awka, Anambra State.

The facility has 1.5 million liters capacity that would sustain the state for up to 3 months of fuel scarcity. The worshipping Chapel is another unique aspect of the facility. It is unusual to have a chapel in a gas plant facility.

The inauguration by Governor Wille Obiano marks the entry of Stanel Group into the fast food industry as the company recently bought Chicken Republic franchise for the entire South East region and has built the best and biggest Chicken Republic store with a drive through.

The 1.5 million litre capacity mega gas plant is strategically located between the state owned university, Nnamdi Azikiwe University and Anambra State Women Development Centre along 9th Mile – Awka expressway.

Facilities at the luxury Mega Center include a big Farmers’ Market (where fruits, vegetables and other farm produce are available), French Bakery, pharmacy store, automated car maintenance center, car wash, 1000 capacity Chapel, Warehouse, supermarket, staff quarters, Laundry and an event center. The Mega Center is also fully equipped with UBA ATM Gallery and Customers Service Center.

Governor Willie Obiano said:

“All we have done is to catalyse the process for businesses to grow. We are waiting for you to lend a hand to the building of a new Anambra State. We want to reassure our numerous entrepreneurs who are yet to remember the state in their investment plan that Anambra is now the safest state in Nigeria and we have established a strong foundation for economic and industrial growth.It is also widely known in the investment community that the Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency makes the process of investing in the state seem as easy as a walk in the park.”

The Managing Director of the firm, Stanley Uzochukwu thanked the governor for his interest in the development of the state and assured that he would expand his business interest in the area. Stanel Oil Service In Awka, Anambra State has reportedly already engaged over 500 youths in different fields. That is according to a report by the company.
