Atlanta, Georgia, USA: Paul Hagan, a white teacher at a Georgia high school teacher warned a black student on video that he may ‘put a bullet’ through his head.

Paul Hagan, a physics teacher at Rockdale Career Academy, was filmed ranting against an unidentified black student.

“Don’t smile at me, man,” Hagan is heard telling the student. “That’s how people like you get shot.”

In the now viral video, Hagan goes on to say, “I gotta bet by the time you’re 21 somebody’s gonna put a bullet right through your head. OK? And it might be me the one who does it.”

The video was apparently shot by another student.

Officials at Rockdale Career Academy are investigating the incident. It’s unclear if Hagan will face disciplinary action.

“We were made aware of the video Thursday afternoon and immediately launched an investigation into this personnel matter, which is ongoing at this time,” said Cindy Ball, Rockdale County Public Schools’ director for strategy and innovation, in a statement.

April Carr told Channel 2’s Tom Jones she was beyond shocked when she heard her son’s physics teacher curse and seemingly threaten to shoot him.

“I mean, I was outraged,” she said.

Carr has filed a police report.

“I want him fired. And I want him fired and I want charges pressed against him,” Carr said.

The school is investigating.
