Nollywood Actress Dies In Canadian Hospital Due To Complications From Childbirth

Moji Olaiya, a popular Nollywood actress, who is also a daughter of famous highlife musician  Victor Olaiya has died at the age of 42. She is said to have reportedly died at a Canadian Hospital on Thursday.

While her family has not disclosed the cause of death, our sources have gathered that she died at the Canadian Hospital due to complications from childbirth.

Moji Olaiya had  her second child in Canada in March 2017 but complications from the childbirth that reportedly led to her death was not disclosed.

Two days earlier, she posted to her 240,000 followers on her Instagram  account @mojisolaabikead:

“Allhamdulilahi to you Allah I give all the glory for all you have done. I will forever praise and worship you. It’s not by power but the Grace of Allah. Thank you for the gift of life. Thanks also to all my friends and family my fans for your supports and prayers. Love you all.”

Social media is abuzz with expressions of shock by other Nollywood actors, at the news of her death.

Moji Olaiya who began her acting career with Wale Adenuga production is well known for her role  in the popular family TV drama, Superstory.

Her fans who have filled her instagram account with condolences also fondly remember her for her role in numerous Yoruba and English films including “No Pain No Gain”  and “Nkan Adun.”

Moji Olaiya has to her cap, Best New Actress Award among lots of other awards in Nollywood.
