Cardi B showed off her shoes Friday night at a New York Fashion Week party by throwing one of them at Nicki Minaj.
We’re told Cardi said, “Let me tell you something” … as she lunged toward Nicki, but security stopped her inches from contact.
But, Cardi wasn’t done … she pulled off her shoe and threw it at her enemy … missing her target.
Cardi B, wearing a voluminous red Dolce & Gabanna gown, was seen leaving the party with what appeared to be a bump on her head. She was barefoot.
Minaj, who was unharmed in the encounter, was quickly escorted downstairs by Minaj’s security team.
Insiders say that Cardi B’s bump on her forehead was the result of an elbow from one of Minaj’s security guards.
She and Minaj have been rap rivals since Cardi B began achieving huge success over the last year.
In a post on Instagram Cardi B didn’t call out Minaj by name but alluded to the fight and said she was sparked because her mothering skills were being disparaged. She and rapper Offset recently had their first child together, a girl.
Cardi B later wrote about the scuffle on Instagram, “I’ve worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f— with my success!” Without naming Minaj, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper claims a certain someone threatened other artists for working with her, possibly alluding to Minaj’s new track, “Queen of Rap,” which purportedly insults Cardi B.
“I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f—— off!! I’ve worked to[sic] hard and come too far to let anybody f— with my success!!!! Bitches talk all that s— in they raps but in real life they pussy!!
