A man from Kwong Wah Yit Poh, China, has been busted using his airline ticket with China Eastern Airlines in a rather surprising way. Let’s just say that staff were less than impressed when they found out what he was up to. But you will be!

This as yet unnamed man bought a first class ticket in Xi’an airport in Shaanxi, China, with China Eastern Airlines.

He made use of the VIP airport lounge, ate a delicious free meal, complete with free drinks, before his flight, and rescheduled it for the following day.

He did this repeatedly so he could enjoy the facilities at the Xi’an Airport in Shaanxi, China. Every day. He did it over 300 times in the same year.

That is, until China Eastern Airlines realized what was happening and started investigating him for rescheduling so many flights.

What’s more, he cancelled his ticket for a full refund when its validity was about to expire. Well played.

Staff members were less than impressed to discover what the man was up to, but a spokesman said there was no way to stop this “rare” act.

“There’s no such thing as a free lunch”. To everyone who has used this expression, this man would certainly like a word. At least he figured out how to get his free lunch and free drinks in a most “novel” way
