Shenyang City, China. Sept 12th: Instead of spending a fortune for a traditional Chinese wedding convoy of limos and luxury cars, a couple in northeast China’s Shenyang city decided to just bike to their wedding instead. The couple rented 30 shared bikes on street for $4.6 (30 RMB) on September 9, 2017.
The shared bikes were used as unusual wedding convoy in northeast China as the bride, groom, best man and bridal trains all rode the bicycles in an unusual convoy marching on streets which drew lots of attention on their way to the wedding.
The bridegroom considers renting shared bikes a more economical and convenient way for his wedding. The bride and the parents on both sides are open-minded and supportive of the plan.
Traditionally in China, the groom is supposed to pick up the bride and take her to the site of the wedding ceremony. In the past, couples have been seen to hire out luxury vehicles to make that important journey.
