“Billionaire” Abductor Evans Pleads Guilty In Court

Lagos, Nigeria. August 30th. Notorious “billionaire” abductor, Chukwudi Onwuamadike, who is known more by his pseudonym Evans, pleaded guilty today to conspiracy and abducting before Justice Akeem Oshodi of the Ikeja High Court. Evans and five alleged members of his gang were arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and abducting.

The judge, Justice Akeem Oshodi, ordered that all the male defendants be remanded at Kirikiri Maximum Prison while the female defendant, who pleaded not guilty to all the charges, be kept at the Kirikiri Female Prison.

Notorious abductor, Chukwudi Onwuamadike a.k.a. evans, was  arraigned today on 52 charges bordering on murder, abducting, armed robbery and unlawful possession of firearms. Evans was arraigned by the police alongside his gang members at the Lagos State High Court. Evans still faces similar charges at the Edo State High Court.

One of the charges before Justice Oshodi is on the case of abducting of a victim identified as Mr Donatus Dunu at Ilupeju area of Lagos, who allegedly paid N150million ransom to evans.

According to the police evans and 15 members of his gang are facing 14 substantive cases (10 in Lagos and four in Edo State) with 52 Charges of multiple murders, armed robberies, abductings, unlawful possession of firearms, unlawful possession of ammunition among other crimes.

The charges were prepared by the Force Legal Department and the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions before the Lagos state High Court in Ikeja and the Edo State High Court in Benin city.
