Ohio man stole police cruiser minutes after officers revived him from overdose

Columbus, Ohio: Columbus police are searching for Jeremy Davis, 25, who stole and crashed a cruiser Friday morning.

Columbus police are searching for a man they say stole and crashed a cruiser after being revived by paramedics.

Officers responded to a home on East Gates Street on the South Side around 8:45 a.m. on a report of a man overdosing.

When officers arrived, they administered Narcan to the man, 25-year-old Jeremy Davis, who was revived.

Davis was examined by paramedics at the scene while officers checked to see if Davis had outstanding warrants. Police say Davis ran out of the ambulance and stole a police cruiser.

Davis crashed the cruiser, which was found in the area of East Woodrow Avenue and South Pearl Street about two miles away. Davis had fled on foot.

Police are asking anyone with information about Davis’ whereabouts to call 911. He is 5 feet 11 and has multiple facial and neck tattoos.
