by Kim Boateng Posted on November 3rd, 2017

Twitter has updated it’s earlier statement on Trump’s deactivated, and later restored account. Apparently this does appear to be a delibrate act.

“Through our investigation we have learned that this was done by a Twitter customer support employee who did this on the employee’s last day. We are conducting a full internal review.” twitter wrote in an update.

EARLIER: Twitter Employee Mistakenly Deactivates Trump’s Account , Restored – Twitter has confirmed in a statement that it’s employee deactivated President Donald Trump’s personal Twitter account by mistake, thursday evening :

“Earlier today @realdonaldtrump’s account was inadvertently deactivated due to human error by a Twitter employee. The account was down for 11 minutes, and has since been restored. We are continuing to investigate and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.”

The Commander in Chief’s ‘@realDonaldTrump‘ page could not be accessed for several minutes but his ‘@POTUS’ account remained unaffected.

The outspoken US president has 41.7 million followers on his personal Twitter account, from which he blasts his most controversial and attention-grabbing comments — often in the form of early morning “tweetstorms.”

Trump’s official White House account, @POTUS, which has 20.9 million followers, was apparently not affected.

Trump did not tweet about his account’s vanishing act, but after it was restored made a post about his party’s tax plan.

Social media users questioned if Twitter suspended his account, or perhaps it was a hack.

Nfinit‏ @Nfinit : Trump’s twitter account vanishing and then reappearing moments later is the best evidence yet that the events of the past 2 years are the result of warring sects of time travellers.

George Takei‏Verified account @GeorgeTakei : Trump’s Twitter deactivated for 11 min, and I suddenly thought I’d jumped back into the real timeline where things aren’t so damned absurd.
