Nigeria House Speaker re-elected, Senate President Loses: More Results

Abuja, Nigeria: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has won his re-election into the National Assembly.

Dogara was declared the winner of the Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency on Sunday in Bauchi State.

Dogara, who contested the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 73,609 votes to defeat his closest rival of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abubakar Abdullahi, who scored 50,078.

Saraki Loses Senatorial Seat To APC’s Oloriegbe

The Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has lost the Kwara Central Senatorial District election to Ibrahim Oloriegbe of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Oloriegbe polled a total of 123,808 votes to defeat Senator Saraki of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 68,994 votes.

Orji Kalu wins Senate for APC in Abia

Former Abia State governor, Chief Orji Kalu has defeated incumbent Senator Mao Ohuabunwa in the battle for Abia north senatorial seat.

Kalu of the All Progressives Congress(APC) polled 31,203 votes to defeat Ohuabunwa of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) who secured 20,801 votes.

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) Chief David Ogba scored 11,410 votes.

Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu of the PDP re-elected

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the National Assembly polls in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.

PDP polled 18, 879 votes while the All Progressives Congress (APC) got 2,710 for Enugu West senatorial seat.

For the House of Representatives, the PDP polled 18, 958 followed by the APC with 2,817 votes and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), 1,335 votes.

The senatorial contest was between the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu of the PDP and Mrs Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu, former Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Justice Reform for the APC.

PDP two term lawmaker Toby Okechukwu is contesting with an ace broadcaster, Obiora Ilo of the African Independent Television (AIT) for the APC for Awgu/Aninri/Oji River federal constituency.

Buhari wins Ekiti state, first Presidential election result by INEC

President Muhammadu Buhari has won Ekiti state, the first officially declared presidential election result by Independent National Electoral Commission.

Buhari of the All Progressives Congress polled 219,231 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party got 154,032 votes.
PDP 154,032.

Total valid votes were 381,132, rejected votes 12,577, while total total votes were 393 709.

The APC has already won two of the senate seats for the state and several House of Representative seats.

APC’s Mohammed Musa Wins Niger East Senatorial Seat

Mr Mohammed Musa of the All Progressives Congress has won the election for Niger East senatorial district.

Musa polled a total of 229,415 votes ahead of the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Ishaku, who got 116,143 votes.

The second runner-up in the election is the candidate of the Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Musa Hassan, with 2,665 votes.

Buhari Wins Osun State With Low Margin

The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), President Muhammadu Buhari, has emerged the winner in Osun State.

Mr Buhari polled 347,674 votes while Mr Atiku got 337,377 votes, with the APC candidate leading with a margin of 10,297.

He won 18 of the 30 local governments in the state while Mr Abubakar won 12.

Gombe Governor, Dankwambo Loses Senatorial Bid

Senator Saidu Akali of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has defeated Gombe State Governor, Ibrahim Dankwambo, in Gombe North senatorial district election.

Senator Akali dashed Governor Dankwambo’s hope to represent the people of the senatorial zone after polling a total of 152,546 votes to emerge the winner of the race.

The governor, who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), suffered a defeat with a wide margin, having scored 88,016 votes.

Governor Amosun Wins Ogun Central Senatorial Seat

Ogun State Governor Ibikunle Amosun has won the race for Ogun Central Senatorial Seat.

He polled 88,110 votes to defeat his closest rival Solomon Sanyaolu of the PDP who polled 33,276 votes.

Oba Akiolu’s Son Of APC Wins Lagos Central Fed Seat

The son of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Moshood Akiolu, has emerged the winner of Lagos Island Federal Constituency II in the House of Representatives.

Akiolu scored 12,988 votes to defeat the candidate of the PDP, Adamoh Olagbenga, who scored 4,345 votes.
Also, Mr Enitan Badru, was declared the winner of the Lagos Island Federal Constituency I and was returned elected by the Returning Officer, Prof Olaniyi Okedele.

He scored 15,245 votes to defeat the candidate of the PDP, Violet Olaitan Juliet.

Ifeanyi Ubah (YPP), Stella Oduah (PDP) Win Senatorial Seats

Ifeanyi Ubah and Stella Oduah have both won the senatorial seat for Anambra South and Anambra North Senatorial districts respectively.

Ifeanyi Ubah and Stella Oduah won the senatorial seats after contesting on the platform of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) respectively. The chairman of Capital Oil and Gas, Ifeanyi Ubah who polled 87,081 votes, defeated his closest rival, Chris Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who got 62,462 votes.

In Anambra North Senatorial district, Stella Oduah who was one of the 21 candidates who contested in the election, won the election with 113,989 votes against her closest rival from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) who had 59,937 votes.

Okorocha Wins Imo West Senatorial Seat

Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has been declared Senator-elect for Imo West Senatorial zone.

Okorocha polled a total of 97,762 votes to defeat his closest rival, Jones Onyereri of the PDP who scored 63.117 votes.

APC Wins Bauchi Central Senatorial Seat

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Halliru Jika, has emerged winner of Saturday’s election for Bauchi Central Senatorial District.

The winner polled 120,871 votes to defeat contestants of two other political parties.

Candidates of other political parties that contested with him were Bappah Aliyu of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), who polled 66,024 votes and Isa Hamma of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 57,069 votes.

Buhari Wins Nasarawa State

President Muhammadu Buhari has won Nasarawa state for the first time since 2003 defeating Alhaji Atiku Abubakar by 37,896 votes.

President Buhari polled 279,315 votes to defeat Atiku who polled 241,419 votes.

Governor Abiola Ajimobi Loses Senatorial Election To PDP

Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, has lost his bid to return to the Senate.

Dr Kola Balogun of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) beat Ajimobi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the incumbent Sen. Adesoji Akanbi of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to emerge the winner.

He polled 105,720 votes to beat Ajimobi who scored 92,218 and Akanbi who polled 49,437 votes.

Teslim Folarin wins Oyo Central for APC

Sen. Teslim Folarin, a former Senate Leader and APC Senatorial Candidate for Oyo Central Senatorial District has emerged winner of the last senatorial election in the district. Folarin was declared winner having polled 91,080 to defeat his closest rival Chief Bisi Ilaka of PDP who polled 83,600.

Sen. Danjauma La’ah (PDP) won Kaduna South Senatorial District

La’ah of the PDP scored a total 268,923 votes to defeat Deputy Governor Barnabas Bala Bantex of the APC who scored 133,287 votes.

Rijo Shikari of the ADP scored 9,609 votes, Benedict Kura of ADC scored 2,741.

Oluremi Tinubu (APC) Returns To The Senate

Oluremi Tinubu is the winner of Lagos State Central Senatorial District 2019 electoral contest.

APC polled in 131,735 votes while David Onitiri of PDP was able to secure 89,107 votes.

Buhari wins Yobe State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 497,914 votes to beat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which scored 50,763 votes in Yobe in last Saturday’s presidential election.

President Muhammadu Buhari, has polled overall votes of 285,894 in Kogi to defeat his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who polled 218,207 votes.
