Found Dead: Lady Carried Away By Flash Flood In Akokwa, Nigeria

Akokwa, Nigeria. August 27th: A 31-year-old lady identified as Miss Olivia Uchechi Ihionu from Akokwa, Imo State, Nigeria has been found dead in a neighboring village, after been swept off by flash floods. According to her family, the unfortunate incident took place on August 15th.

On the fateful day, Miss Olivia Uchechi Ihionu who was engaged and supposed to get married this Christmas had gone to worship at Adoration Ministry Uke. According to reports, she went to ease herself in a nearby gutter when they arrived the prayer ground and suddenly went missing. She supposedly fell into the gutter and got swept off by the flash flood occasioned by heavy rainfall on that day.

The heavy rains and flooding hampered search efforts when her family and Adoration Ministry Uke members realized she was missing. She was later found dead in a neighboring village.

Even though many of her loved ones are yet to come out of the shock, the burial arrangement has been made. The deceased body would leave the Mater Amabilis mortuary in Akokwa on Monday, August 28 to her father’s compound in Umuyaku Umuopia in Akokwa.

The burial service would be held at St Jude Catholic Church, Umuopia Akokwa. Afterward, her body would be laid to rest in her father’s compound.

Reports claim late Miss Olivia Uchechi Ihionu got engaged last year December 2016 and wedding had been fixed for December this year December. This has led to shock for many as she was described as a humble and kind hearted person. The deceased was said to be the first daughter of her parents.
