Los Angeles, California, USA: Houston’s Carlos Correa got down on one knee on live television to ask for his girlfriend, Miss Texas USA, Daniella Rodriguez’s hand in marriage just minutes after the Houston Astros won the World Series.
“Daniella Rodriguez, will you make me the happiest man in the world? Will you marry me?”
She broke down crying, then pushed through the barrier separating the two and hugged him. He took the ring and placed it on her hand and the two then looked into the crowd with yet another reason to celebrate the night.
She gasped, “Oh my God” repeatedly. Eventually, she said yes.
It’s unclear when the Houston Astros star and the former Miss Texas USA began dating, but their first public photo is from a Kanye West concert. Rodriguez was named Miss Texas USA in 2016

George Springer doubled and scored to open the game against Yu Darvish, then hit a two-run homer to chase Darvish from the game with two outs in the second.
The first of Springer’s hits sparked a two-run rally for the Astros, who plated their initial run when Dodgers first baseman Cody Bellinger committed a throwing error on a routine groundout by Alex Bregman. Springer scored, and Bregman raced to second on the error, later stealing third and scoring on Jose Altuve’s groundout.
Springer who was named the World Series MVP, has five home runs in the World Series and is the first player in history to homer in four straight games during a single Fall Classic. George Springer now holds records for XBHs (8), total bases (29) & HRs (5, tied with Jackson, Utley) in a single WorldSeries. His 29 total bases were the most ever for a player in a single World Series.

A Game 7 is one of the rarest treats in sports. Not since the 1980s has the World Series gone to a winner-take-all-game three times in a four-year span, but that’s what happened on Wednesday, after the Dodgers extended this Fall Classic with a 3-1 win over the Astros on Tuesday night.
Wednesday’s showdown was the 39th Game 7 in Major League history. The Dodgers have played in five of them, going 2-3 in such games in franchise history, and this will be the first one played at Dodger Stadium. The last Game 7 the Dodgers played was in 1965, when they went on the road to beat the Twins, 2-0, at Metropolitan Stadium thanks to a three-hitter from Sandy Koufax. This is the Astros’ second World Series in franchise history, but it’s their first Fall Classic Game 7.
After 179 games, the last 17 covering the three rounds of the postseason, the Astros’ season came down to one game on Wednesday and the Astros did not dissapoint.
Yu Darvish started Wednesday for the Dodgers, trying to win their first title since 1988, and Lance McCullers Jr. for the Astros in the first World Series Game 7 ever at Dodger Stadium. Darvish was chased in the second inning of Game 2, when McCullers pitched Houston to a 5-3 victory.
This will be the third World Series Game 7 in four years. Ten of the last 12 teams that won Game 6 to force a seventh game also won the title, but the Dodgers lost the previous six World Series in which they trailed 3-2. They have won just one of their six championships at home, in 1963. The visiting team won the previous two Game 7s (the Giants in 2014 and the Cubs in 2016)
Tonight’s Astros vs Dodgers was the first World Series Game 7 between 100-win teams since 1931, when the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Philadelphia A’s. This is the first world series win in Astros franchise history.
